'Deflowered' tells the story of a young girl's struggle in being forced to grow up too fast as a young bride in a forced arranged marriage. This collaborative short film was made under the theme of 'Global Issues'. We created this film to shed light on this dangerous and scary reality for a lot of young girls that are swept under the rug by the rest of the world.
The film reveals that this young girl is not a unique case but one of many victims of young brides forced into marriages that often lead to abusive power dynamics, reflecting the horrifying truth of this global issue in reality.
